Mac The Eclipse Executable Launcher Was Unable To Locate Its Companion Shared Library
I have just installed Eclipse for Java on my system successfully. But when I tried to open, it says “eclipse launcher not able to locate its companion shared library”.
But when I try to start Eclipse from the command line, Eclipse fails to start, popping up the alert: 'The Eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library.' I have checked the contents of the eclipse.ini file and verified that the launcher.library referred to there exists. This is a bug filed with Eclipse for Windows and Mac: When attempting to launch Eclipse (double click on Eclipse.app), the launch fails. The only action is a dialog box with this message:' the eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library'.
Can anybody tell me how to overcome this problem and its meaning?
Eclipse Unable To Locate Companion Shared Library Mac Os
After upgrading to Eclipse 3.4.2 on Mac OS X 10.5, I receive an error message at launch: The Eclipse executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library. 1 - Just Right click on the eclipse Icon. 2 - Put the location: Installation Foldereclipsejee-neoneclipsepluginsorg.eclipse.equinox.launcher1.3.201.v201.jar 3 - Save the properties. 4 - Now if you click on Eclipse icon, it will open the application as usual.

- Please ask this as a new question on MakeUseOf Answers home (www.makeuseof.com/answers/) as you're unlikely to receive an answer here. The original question above was asked about a year ago and doesn't get much exposure now. https://newne406.weebly.com/blog/mac-hard-drive-space-library-containers-wddesktop.
- While researching your answer, I've noticed that this has happened to others. Open library folder mac el capitan. No one seems to be sure why, as it looks like just a bug in the program or a bad download. Others have installed Eclipse Classic and said it worked fine, so you might want to try that to see if that's the case.
